Our Program

Transcend Podcast Studios

Transcend Podcast, located in Tampa, Florida, is dedicated to empowering the community by offering accessible podcasting resources and training, particularly targeting college students and emerging entrepreneurs. The studio is fully operational and equipped with advanced microphones, mixers, and editing software. To support the entry of students and entrepreneurs into podcasting, Transcend Podcast provides studio access at significantly reduced fees, making professional-quality podcasting more affordable for those who might otherwise lack the resources.

The program includes a robust student intern initiative, where interns receive hands-on experience in podcast production, including recording, editing, and content creation. These internships not only enhance technical skills but also improve communication abilities like public speaking and storytelling. Interns are also responsible for peer training, fostering a collaborative environment where students help each other grow and learn.

The financial benefits to students and entrepreneurs are substantial. Reduced fees alleviate the financial burden typically associated with starting a podcast, allowing participants to allocate their savings to other essential areas. Additionally, podcasts offer monetization opportunities through sponsorships, advertisements, and platforms like Patreon, which can provide ongoing income for creators (The Business Goals) (Enterprise Podcast). Furthermore, podcasts serve as powerful marketing tools for entrepreneurs, aiding in brand building and expanding their reach.

Transcend Podcast aims to achieve several goals and objectives, including providing affordable studio access to at least 50 students and entrepreneurs annually, training 20 student interns each year, and facilitating the creation of at least 100 new podcasts within the first year. To support these objectives, partnerships with local colleges, universities, and businesses are essential for promoting the program and securing sponsorships. Funding from grants and donations will be sought to subsidize the reduced fees and maintain studio equipment.

The implementation timeline is structured to ensure the program’s continuous improvement and growth. An ongoing evaluation and expansion phase will regularly assess the program’s impact and explore opportunities for further development.

The budget for Transcend Podcast includes operational costs such as staff salaries, marketing, maintenance, and paid internships. These paid internships are crucial for attracting and retaining talented students who will contribute to the program’s success. By addressing the financial and educational needs of students and entrepreneurs, Transcend Podcast aims to create a vibrant, inclusive, and innovative podcasting community in Tampa.
